A T LaTorre Construction is family-owned and operated in Los Angeles , CA. area Since opening in 1973, we’ve treated every customer like they were a part of our family. Other companies may offer similar services, but our services come with a personal touch.
I've been a Calif. State License Contractor since 1973, Besides being a General Contractor specializing in Kitchen and Bath Remodeling I'm also currently the owner of Creative Cabinetry located in Chatsworth Calif. previously located in Van Nuys, Calif. We moved to Chatsworth to be closer to all my Construction Associates.
I 've got a story:
Back when I started my construction company, I mean way back in my twentys
I was doing a remodel for a customer, the one day I was later to the job then when I told the customer I would be there, after I got chewed out for not calling her to say
I'd be late she then told my that she was only a dime away, meaning at that time pay phones were only a dime for a call, I have never forgot that. So I do make calls when necessary

FOR CUSTOMERS THAT CARE :
Since I am a licensed Contractor it is beneficial for you to hire a
licensed Contractor, either myself or any other, for the following reasons:
1- As a homeowner :
You cut the liability of a non licensed worker either walking off the job ( with your money ) and leaving you hanging with no recourse and or doing shoddy work, if you go on to Calif. State License Board website, ( cslb.ca.gov ) they will tell you to be very careful who you hire, in this economy scammers are coming out of the woodwork.
2- For a Contractor :
You really don't save money by paying cash or writing a check to a worker because you either have to take it as a draw on your taxes which in turn your going to pay taxes on that draw, and it's a lot of stress at the end of the year, when you have your insurance audit. Think about it, what it's really costing you, with a licensed Contractor you get the benefit of sending out a 1099 plus you don't have to pay your workman's comp or liability insurance on that money you payed out , that's is why lately more & more contractors are asking for certificate or insurances and federal I D #. If you have been watching the news lately the Federal Government is going to crack down on cash payments to workers.
